i don't like drops, they are too uncomfortable for me. i had rb021s for a while and i liked them, but my stem is super long so it was uncomfortable for me to ride the drops. i had an rei gift card and had been wanting to try risers, so i bought some eastons and i love em. i have no trouble climbing with them and i still have my bullhorns, just in case.

Hey,
So it is right in that you ought to be right on top of the bullhorn (or close to it)? I have tried a riser here. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...i/KC280056.jpg I never really had a formal training on Bike-atology, but is it correct that riser have really high leverage when you can grab the rising-part of the bar? T P.S. Owwiee. Please don't comment on the wimpy break levers. Thanks. |

Bullhorns are basically a more substantial hood, and they're great for climbing. Flat bars are fun to ride for short distances and seem more stable in bad conditions, but are not great for sprinting and getting out of the wind. i need to get them! thanks |
I prefer drops with brakes and hoods, but for my fixed I go with bullhorns because of the climbing power I get from them. Bullhorns for getting around / commuting / winter riding work great for me.

I've got a bunch of bars, But I usually just ride track drops or risers.
risers are fun. drops are fast. |
Popped on my risers for the first time in months today and had a blast : )
