WW Langster build
This build was going to be a Fixed/SS project but the more I got into it the more I wanted it to be just a fixed gear bike. The gearing is 42X16 for now and this seems to be fine on the first ride but with his at close to 6-8% around my area, I do not think going bigger upfront is wise at this time for me.
Specialized Lanster Fixed Gear
I just have to sort out what bars I am going to be using. I am thinking the Profile Cobra Base bar, F119 Ti bolts and New 31.8 brake lever.
I have to shorten up this area but will do so when I sort out the bars and I have to find a carbon conical spacer.
Will have to see how the carbon spiderless chainring holds up on a Fixed gear build. I will use my brake a lot to save the ring.

That may be the case but I was warned by a fellow WW that there might be a few that thought WHAT THE HELL AND WHY. To that I do say to each their own but if they are saying what you are suggesting then thank you.

of course there are gonna be people who think it's pointless. screw 'em!
i do have a question though. you mentioned in the thread for the other bike about getting lighter hardware for the surly singulator. when you've got a bike built and it's already WW status, does shaving a few grams here and there make a noticeable difference, or is it more about completing the package?

If you are worried about weight and durability for a titanium chainring. The carbon isn't going to last long.

Someone had asked for the build list and weights but I could not find them in the book that I keep so I did what most would not do and took the bike apart this afternoon. It is great to know that my two scales are calibrated as I weighed all of the parts today on my counter top scale and then the complete bike on the Alpine. Since the Alpine rounds up, it reads 6000g but in pounds reads 13.22 which is actually 5998g. I was able to take apart the bike and put it back together in less than an hour to get the weight.
I also took it for an hour ride tonight after putting it back together and it ran perfect. The chainline is close but not perfect but while riding it does not make a sound. I am very happy with the build and the carbon spiderless chainring worked great. I did use the front brake more than I normally would but brake pads are cheaper to replace than the ring.
BAR TAPE Included in weight of bars.

I think everyone thinks that I am made of money or something but honestly, I have been buying these parts for the good part of three years and keep upgrading different bikes to get where I am today and selling off the old stuff to keep the costs down. I have been able to get amazing deals on every single part including the carbon bits. I think people would be very surprise at what I have actually paid for these builds.
