campy pista hubs... special threading??

campy pista hubs... special threading??
i've heard that they use a campy specific lockring. but is the cog standard or different also?

The cog is threading is slightly different than most other brands, although in practice the difference is so slight that they are interchangeable. I've used non-Campy standard cogs on Campy hubs and Campy cogs on Formula hubs with no problems.

i'm a big fan of dura ace tarck cogs. i'd like to use one if possible.

I'm using a dura-ace cog on my old Campagnolo record hub, but i think the lock-ring threading is Campagnolo specific.

Yeah..I think cogs can be used interchangeably to some extent. I'm using a Superbe Pro on my record high flanges but I believe the lockring needs to be campy specific...or like trons said (eai, miche, or phil)

you can put an ISO threaded cog on your campy hub without much problem. the threads will be a little tight and it is a good idea to stick with ISO threaded cogs once you twist one on.
you NEED an italian threaded lockring. Phil or campy or whatever else is specifically for italian threaded hubs.

On a side note, the Campa NJS hubs can take shimano/suntour lockrings, whereas the non NJS versions need the Campa thread lockrings. At least one the rear hubs I have here, including both early record, and later c record....

agreed yet the sex factor on them is high! In response to the dura-ace on Campy hub, I can't bring myself to doing it, it's like mixing a fine wine and a great beer, Both beautiful but not meant to go together! I've got a Suntour Superbe Pro Cog on my Record hub.
