Relatively inexpensive 'single' straps?
Doubles are a hefty price and doubling singles makes more sense to me. That said what are some places with good prices on quality single leather straps? (preferable that ship to or are even located near Toronto)

Why not try a local bike shop? I grabbed a pair of Christophe leather straps for $8 from mine. Pretty sue that every bike shop wil carry these.

I have the Christophe leather single straps on one bike and the synthetic on another.
I prefer the leathers. They seem to hold their form better and are easier to get in to.
I got mine at the LBS, but if you do a search I'm sure there are plenty of places out there to order

Cycles Marinoni sells amazing leather straps for $20. They are a Canadian company, so most LBS should be able to get them in.

I have yet to be convinced on the ALE's. I just got a pair last week from Ben's and they are slipping a little when I pull up really hard to skip and stuff, but I adjusted where the buckle is tonight so hopefully that helps. And the yellow is already coming off in some spots. But they can still win me over, for $15 or whatever it was worth a try.

I just usually get the cheapest ones I can find at a LBS, I ordered some in a color from Bens for like 14 dollars maybe, but that was just cause I needed clips and straps and happened to be putting an order in. They seem nice, but I cant tell much difference in feeling between them and the cheap ones.
