Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Dood, where do you sesh? I'd love to grab a couple beers and watch you crash into walls.

HA...sick...I used to ride the commons skate park, then I broke my rear wheel, so that was the end of that...Then I just did flat land stuff in some parking lots...Now im in toronto...

**premature submit button...lol

Well, Umm... Most of you in this thread can take your comments and shove it...but to others thanks...I dont really care for people who tell me what I can and cant do on a bike...If I want to ride my bikes to **** let me..just help me pick one and stop telling me that crashing my bike is bad...im pretty sure i know that already...

Okay, back on track...no more rob roy...Back to Local frame and Gangsta track...and to those wanting info on that local frame, I cant tell you anything about it...I only heard about it yesterday from someone riding one, $250 cash got them frame, fork bottom bracket and headset.

Seshin Bikes are based out of Halifax. you could hit them up for a decent new frame. they got an older model on sale super cheap.

Get the IRO Mark V. It's built like a tank. Heavier tubing than the Rob Roy, anyway.

posenger does not mean people posing as fixed gear riders. it means you posing as a messenger.

nevermind, you're posing as a BMX rider. carry on.

I doubt anyone here has conducted a comprehensive concrete wall test on all models of IRO, but I would tend to guess any frame designed for offroad riding would be stouter than their road frames. If you want bombproof though, I'd suggest any Electroforged Schwinn. You can crash those into brick walls to your heats content.

I used to crash this thing into walls on purpose on an almost daily basis with no ill effects. My excuse is that I was 12 at the time.

@ Pfutz: Shove it.
@ BMX peeps: I don't ride bmx.
@ veeco23: You know exactly what I look like right? so thats why you can go make statements calling people on the internet possengers. I should have been more specific when I was describing the possengers that I saw...They had tight pants, plaid shirts, stupid hats, slip on vans, messenger style bag, with a track frame running a freewheel. They know exactly who they are trying to be like, and they know that they aren't. So you can have fun doing the exact same thing as pfutz.

There is always tough competition. And where did I ever say I was riding bmx? thats like saying people who race moto gp, actually ride motocross.

But who knows, wouldnt it be nifty if this got nominated for stupid thread of the day...LOL Im pretty sure if I left out the entire part about riding into a wall or how my frame broke...we wouldnt be here right now, and I would have gotten a proper response within 5 posts.

you didn't say you were riding bmx, you said you've been riding skateparks and repeatedly ran your SE into a concrete wall for fun.

we would've asked what happened to the SE... whether there's anything generally wrong with that bike or not... it has nothing to do with what you managed to do to it. the only way to escape would've been a simple question about the bikes you were considering while entirely leaving out bending your frame.

So did this ever get resolved? I hope that SE honors your warranty claim because it sounds like they sold you a defective product. You should totally be able to ride a BMX track bike into a concrete wall.

I would have asked you how the frame broke, because I would have been curious.

Then perhaps you shouldn't do dumb-ass things on your bike.
