grip tape

I dunno if anyone has tried this, but putting a couple pieces of grip tape on the tabs for poppin into your clip pedals helps a bunch. I got some gr-9's, which make clipping in more difficult than the pedals I had before, but have better ground clearance.

i wonder what pedals you had before because gr-9s have ginormous tabs so getting into clips should be super easy. it is for me, at least.

even so, grip tape sounds like a good idea

if you're having problems kicking into your pedals, i don't want to be anywhere near you when you're on your bike.

i've heard of putting some grip tape on the underside of the spindle so riding out of the clips is easier.
but then again i never ride out of the clips. bad news.

Hm well the gr-9s' tabs are so smooth that I had trouble gettin the flip. My older pedals had a pointier tab not unlike that of the MKS Sylvan pedals, but had terrible clearance.

i have some older pedals i rocker for a while (no-name stuff), and some of my shoes didn't have enough good tread to help kick that little tab. so sometimes it helps to have a spot of grip tape. it's not a sign of a bad rider at all.

That seems like it would work.

I have some 3M grip tape (the stuff they put on slippery stairs) on the spindles, mainly to give me some more grip when it's wet. Works great.

That tab is going to break off eventually, although I don't find it any harder to get into mine without the tab.
