identity crisis
hello all, i am new to the forums and single/fixed gears. hell new to cycling in general. i have acquired a bike that i was hoping some of you would be able to identify for me. i will post some pics, and hopefully they will be informative enough for you to give me a good guess at what i am looking at.
thanks for your help. Bradd. actually they are too large, but will link you directly to them in photobucket so you can get a good view on them. also did some searching and found the hubs/rims on google. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...e/DSCF0182.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...e/DSCF0183.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...e/DSCF0184.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...e/DSCF0185.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...e/DSCF0186.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...e/DSCF0187.jpg |
I'd post it in Classic & Vintage (another room on bikeforums)... any idea of what kind of bottom bracket it is?
looks like stamped dropouts? |
Yes, Classic and vintage will more likely be able to identify it. You should take a picture of the seat cluster too. That will tell a lot.
How do you like it? |
it is a little heavy. mostly due to the componets i am sure. it is little lighter then my specialized road bike. it needs a new saddle. but generally, and overall i think it has some style.

Could be a Raleigh Supercourse sometime around early 70s. A peek at the seat cluster would help substantiate my suspicion, and a serial number could verify it. Is there a serial number on the bottom bracket?

the paint is so thick on it that ifn there was one, they would of coated over it at least 5 times .

Looks like a Peugeot to me but I know nothing.
At least that fork looks like a peugeot. |
