Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I want a group buy on powder coat. Pick two or three colors and have everyone send them all of our frames, cranks, deep Vs, etc. for massive group discount.

Maybe black, white, and one other color.

EDIT: or group buy on touring wheelsets, 8 speed cassettes, and 8 speed DT shifters, but I might be alone on that one.

Why didn't we think of that earlier? We could all use those, and they're usually pricey.

I dont think it's impossible. Unlikely, probably, but it's no less possible than a tandem group buy, a suntour superbe pro group buy, or really any group buy on BFSSFG. Explain to me how it's so impossible?

i talked to alien and they would be game...once they get numbers figured out for their next frame refills they will let me know what they can do for a group buy. in the meantime i think that we should try to seek out opinions on their frames before we agree to do a group buy.

sounds like a hell of a plan. I'm glad someone took some initiative.

I want a Kogswell PR group buy, but I'm gonna guess there's not enough enthusiasm for that buy.

That may be where my $600 hush money check goes. It comes stock with fenders painted to match.

I emailed info@Kogswell.com to ask if he'd be interested in doing a PR group buy along with a link to this thread. So post here if you'd be into it. The way I see it the more support for the idea, the more likely it'll happen. I bet we could also get some interest from the C&V and Commuting forums. That is one versatile bike.

group buy, eh?

I've seen them, but I don't know the specifics

what did the timing look like on the last IRO group buy?

for a year now it has been nearly impossible to get stuff from Taiwan in a timely fashion

are you all ready to put up your money and wait ten months? cause that's what I've been doing
