Stupid question but i want to make sure before i kill myself

Ok well the hub on the fixed side of my Langster is pretty well stripped i guess. The cog moves fairly freely, the lockring came loose and caused this not too long ago. I slathered loctite on the cog and the hub and let it sit and torqued the lockring down as much as i could get it. now, will i kill myself with this set up? i took it around my apartment complex and it seems pretty good even with full torque and i am not riding sans brakes on this. what do you all think?

thanks

you should probably buy a new rear wheel. until then, use the brake as much as possible.

I thought this was going to be a parody of the "stupid question about a mercier" thread. But it was a real question.

What delicious said. Brakes break brakes.

I think you will be okay. You have brakes so in the event **** goes south, you can stop.

you're dead. say your final goodbyes, give your friends your stuff, kiss your mom, and go on one last ride.

I've been riding with one setup exactly like that for a year. Now I can't get the damn thing off to change my gear ratio. I rode it three days last week with out a lockring trying to skid the thing loose and it won't budge.

My friend has been riding a similar setup for awhile and he skids a lot and hardly uses his brake.

you can't ignore me. i am you.

i have a suicide hub, and i haven't died yet. you'll be fine as long as you've done it right and have a back up brake.

JB Weld is permanent, though. I recommend Loctite in addition to a bottom bracket lockring. Run a brake and you'll be fine.

i lived in larkspur most of the time i lived in marin, but i lived with my grandma, who lives in san rafael, for a while. i can see how you'd get bored, especially since there's no bart, the buses are annoying, and the ferry is really just a novelty, but every time I go back and see mt. tam, i want to stay. I saw a guy struggling down the windy hill my grandma (now in san anselmo) lives on on a langster last summer.

hey, if you think it's fine, it probably is. just go out and do some big ass skids in busy traffic to test it.
