feel jittery, like the steering is crazy. i cant even ride with no hands. and on my old fuji road bike i could ride no hands for miles. so like i was wondering if its the straight blade for or head tube angle or what?

is it all stock or have u changed out parts that may affect the steering (ie fork, bars etc)

It's gotta be the headset.

The geometry of IROs have lots of trail and should be easy to ride with no hands. That's certainly the case with mine. Rob Roys might be different, though.

I can ride my Angus no handed no problem.

I'd say probably too tight... or maybe it's just pitted. So pitted.

track bike geometry vs road geometry is different....

You will notice a difference with more or less trail. Frinstance a MTB or Touring bike is generally very stable and easy to ride no handed, a racing frame will be much twitchier feeling and less stable. For example my old mountain bike is much easier to ride no handed and much more forgiving than my Soma Rush, but both are rideable no handed. On the MTB I can eat a sammich, and zip my jacket all while going around a corner no handed. On the Rush if I absentmindedly shift my weight I'm veering out of my lane.

Which IRO? They make several different frames.....

My IRO was smooth as a baby's bottom - one of the most stable bikes I ever rode. I think you've got a janky headset.

its all stock i dont think the headsets messed up. maybe im just not used to the geometry, im not saying that i cant ride no handed it just feels if you barely shift weight your going to loose control. btw im riding a 53 cm mark v. so how do you tell if your headset is messed up? cause ive already went over the bars because the front wheel cut too much when i was turning. granted i was giving a turn signal and looking over my shoulder for cars, but its never happened riding any other bike. hopefully its just getting used to the different geometry.

I had the same problem with my Jamie Roy. But once I bought a new fork, I could ride no hands noooooo problem. I guess my fork was a piece of crap.

Mark V regular or Pro? The Pro has a fork with much less rake.

My Rob Roy is smooth and stable, take it to a shop / post photos?

1.Do you have a front brake? If so, hold down the front brake lever and rock your bike gently forwards and backwards. If you feel any play (it will sort of feel like a crunch, if that makes sense), your headset is too loose.

2.Next lift your front end off the ground and tilt it so the fork turns to one side, then the other. It should do this very smoothly without any help from you and without any stiffness. If it does not smoothly fall to the side, your headset is too tight.

3. Slowly turn your handlebars from one side to another, is it smooth throughout the turn of does it feel like it wants to be in some positions more than others (especially straight)? If so, it means your headset is indexed and needs to be replaced.

Another possibility is that when you went over the bars you slightly bent your frame or fork. This will mess up the tracking too. Use the string method to check your alignment. http://davesbikeblog.blogspot.com/20...ment-test.html

If you're not sure, what these things are supposed to feel like, ride it to the bike shop and ask someone to check it out.

could have bent the dropouts a little, but if this was the case you would notice the wheel spinning at a tilt in the fork, unless you bent the wheel as well. this happened to me.

not that this has anything to do with it, but be sure to replace those ****ty hypersonic tires as soon as you can.

Hmmmm I had a bad experience with one of those FSA orbit headsets. The whole thing seized up while I was riding at around 25 mph. Probably from lack of maintenence but it was only like 2 months old. But My Mark V goes fine no handed, check if your stems aligned right?
