Here comes some blasphemy...the Yamaguchi has potential, but doesn't cut it.
The welds at the headtube are unsightly. The fork is offensive. The seatpost stays/stay are ugly. I'd also rather see it with low-profile rims and a slimmer saddle. Hey, I'd take the frame and revamp the overall set-up, but as is I wouldn't commit apotemnophilia to get it:) The Makino works it over in every way. It has a nice overall synthesis, without an ugly fork and stays to screw it up. |
