super small frame (45cm) have one?

i want to build up another bike, but it sucks trying to find a frame that fits me. if it's a conversion, whatever it's just going to be a beater anyways.
i got my track bike and road bike. just want a project to have.
searching ebay and craigslist the past month and nothing has come up.
if you have something please let me know!!!!!
thanks.

Maybe the IRO Heidi, it's 46cm though. Still something to look into though.

seriously though, you must be pretty damn short.

my girl is riding a 50cm kilo now and it fits pretty well, and she's like 5'3.

track down one of those 43cm fuji tracks i guess.

bikes direct has that motobecane messenger, which i think is the fuji track frame anyway, in like 47 or something, but i don't think it's available as a frame. you could grab the complete and ebay/craigslist the parts.

i'm tiny too... 5ft even. the frame i ride now is a little too big for me (49cm w/ a 29" stand over) and probably not safe. i didnt know about that iro frame that takes 650cs.... i wonder if it has a slopping top tube? anyone know? i don't like slopping top tubes :/

You should probably learn to deal with either sloping top tubes or having the top tube all up in your junk. 650c wheels would probably be a very good thing for bikes this small. A friend of mine has a 49cm fuji road bike built for 27" wheels. The headtube is practically nonexistent. It's basically just a lug that connects the top tube and the down tube in a perfect triangle. The steering is a little bit...different. 650c wheels could get you around this problem, by allowing the frame to be proportionally smaller.

I'm right on the line between 700c and 650c (5'5" and about 30" of standover, give or take). I ride frames that are as big as I can safely ride because smaller frames feel weird to me with 700c wheels. Someday I'll find and ride a bike built for 650c wheels. Then I'll know for sure which side of the line I should be on.

You should just rock a BMX bike. Rear drop outs and arrospokes [aka Skyway Tuffs] are hella cheap!

You WILL need 650s. I just got my friend a 43cm Sycip(used) track bike. She used to ride a Trek then a Surly, but with 700s it's impossible to get the headtube short enough/low enough. Plus, with 700s to get decent standover you'll need a sloping top tube. A sloping top tube is gross and the size is a lie. Only problem is toe clip overlap, but usually when you're 4'10" your feet are small enough to not be an issue.
You could always get an old 24" BMX. Sam

FYI: I sent an email to the IRO people asking if the top tube on the Heidi frame is slopped. They said it is parallel with the ground. Even though it does look like it in the picture... but good to know!

i found my (extremely short) gf a paconi...wait for it...34x43cm track frame. apparently custom made for a 12yo or something, ridden by him for a season and then sold to bicycle recycle. score! its actually still a little big for her, she can only just stand over the low end of the toptube.
i have a 52stx49tt with a cinelli bottom bracket gathering dust (and rust) in the back yard. anyone want to make me an offer, im too lazy to ebay it.

my girlfriend has a heidi. the frame *barely* slopes. it looks pretty close to horizontal (why does it matter anyway? small frames usually equals sloping TT).

one more vote for a heidi - pretty damn good bike for little people. just needs a few upgrades in components and we'll be set.
