Can you tell me what this is?
I'm looking to buy this bike on CL but for the life of me, can't figure out what kind of aluminum frame this is. I asked the seller and he didn't know and I wanted to know before I make the long drive.
Thanks for the help.

It's a GMC Denali by Kent (right?) but look at the dropouts. They've been replaced or modified with track-like fork ends.

Dude posted it on CL for $200 here in FL. I thought it might make a good alu beater (a la, Leader) because of the salty air. But Denali with track ends? Not exciting.
Anyone think it's worth the money?

Looks like Alex rims and formula hubs. I might offer $100 just for the components, depending on what they are, but unless those are nice cranks it's not worth $200. I'm not going to say the frame is worthless, but it's not worth more than $20.

Just stay away entirely from that guy and his bike. Why would anyone want to ride such a crap bike much less take the chance on some inexperienced welding skills to put those track ends on there. You're taking a huge gamble riding it, save your money and look for something safer.

saw somebody riding this today (as a road bike, not fixed), and it had a GMC headtube badge. was in an awkward situation as the rider was passing a couple dog walkers and in doing so almost swerved into me, so i couldn't get a better look.
