I'm not sure what's going on with knocking the 53cm for his inseam. I have a true inseam of 32 inches and ride a 54cm. I can always lengthen vertically, not horizontally.

Get the Truvativ Omnium cranks. Cheaper than the 75's outright, and especially after buying a BB. Super light, super stiff, and super duper fantastic. Seriously.

In that case, where can I buy the Truvativ Omnium crankset online that will post to Australia?

Ended up going with the 75. Omnium was probably a better choice, but I kinda want to keep it looking more or less old school, and that would require me facing the non-drive side of my bb shell to accomodate the external bb. Only the drive side is faced since I'm going with a catridge bb anyway. Picked up a shimano un54 from my lbs. Some people have said it works, sheldon is okay with jis/iso taper mixing, so I'll give it a shot. Worse case scenario I'm out like 20 bucks and I end up having to get that miche adjustable bb or something.

Everything else is as stated in the first post, except I got a DA 16t cog instead of the 17t EAI. I was getting impatient and wanted to pick it up local so I could at least get SOMETHING installed.

The rest should hopefully be here tomorrow, if not monday, EXCEPT the stem. My lbs has a pretty good selection of nitto stems, and I wanted to get my saddle and everything more or less dialed so I could get a better idea of how far I want it to reach.

I agree, there is way too much thought going into a bike you're just going to train with.

Buy parts without a bad reputation, you'll be fine.

Well, train and ride around town and all that. But yeah, most of the things I was worried about had more to do with compatibility. Stuff like the cog and whatnot, I only mentioned it since it was slightly different from what I said I was getting. I'm just a bit anal like that. Can you tell?

Anyway, I hope to get it built up this weekend, parts left chicago by air last night around 6PM, hopefully they will have landed in Toronto by morning and are on the way, otherwise I'll have to wait until Monday and be a very sad panda.
