I need your help now

So here 's the deal. I have 3 main bikes right now.

'08 Bianchi Fremont all stock except a yellow 3T mutant stem
'06 Scattante XRL single speed, Black deep Vs, 105 crank, surly singleator, carbon XRP stem, XRP prolite bars, Tektro brake levers, Nashbar brakes.
circa 70's Nishiki Professional Fixed gear, in great condition.

Here's my dilema: I want an IRO or Rush Hour or Steam Roller.

Is it worth trying to sell one/all/two of the bikes i have? I have enough money to buy a new bike, but i don't want to have to deal with having 4 bikes while at college. Anyone have a solution for me? Thanks
-Doug

anyone?

4 bikes would be way too much. narrow it down between the fremont and the prestige...

i'd sell the fremont and buy the rush hour if i were you. or IRO.

id say freemont for IRO if you could

i am going to list the Fremont on ebay tonight, is it worth taking a loss on it if i haven't even ridden it yet? I bet i could get atleast $500 for it, even though i paid $600. I just don't want to regret something. The main reason i bought an aluminum bike is because i fear rust, so idk im just really wanting to sort things out.

cc700 05-28-08 11:26 PM

well the fremont is a good bike but if you want an aluminum bike and are unhappy with the fremont's lack of... umm... street cred? i'd get something a little cooler. fuji track pro maybe? langster city? you are kinda lacking a real track bike if you're gonna have three ssfg's, well... get one that's got some track geo. i vote for fuji track pro.

or build up a leader 735tr.

i seriously think 2 bikes should be the limit for someone in college. any more is too much hassle.

Get $200 for the Nishiki on CL and put that money towards a Steamie. You might even get $300 if it is a nice looking conversion and I have seen used Steamroller frame-sets go for about $300 now and then.

well the bianchi just went on ebay, hopefully ill get some money out of it.

bdfresh 05-28-08 11:35 PM

The nishiki is awesome, and was a gift from my grandpa, i then built it up. It's got definate street cred. Ill keep that one. The scattante i can't seem to sell, so i guess that iwll be a keeper, but im sure the bianchi would get some cash on ebay. so hopefully it'll fetch atleast $600 .

part out that scattante, and if you have to (ss hub) rebuild the rear wheel with a fixed hub. Then you have money for the new frame, and a wheelset ready to go on it.

honestly, it seems like it won't be worth the money to part it out, its a really nice single speed, and the Nishiki is a great fixie, the Bianchi is great as of now, and with some new parts (just ordered a new seat post maybe for it or another bike) it will come a long. If it doesn't sell on ebay, ill just keep it but turn it into more of a commuter, throw some IRO black wheels on it, black seat post i have coming, new Fizik saddle, keep the stem and maybe get some drop bars on it. I think it has potential, but if i could i'd like to sell it for an IRO for sure.
