Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Cinelli Mystic Rat

I wantz. I saw it on trackosaurus and fell into love at first site. I love the flaming rainbow tape job.

Here is a link to the bike on Cinelli's site...
linky clicky linky

I seriously want one pretty bad. Worried about shipping to Hawaii... but gotta find a place to buy one first Any ideas? Can't seem to find any info anywhere.

Is that an old Unicantor saddle? Major points if it is.

It's cool, in theory, but something about it just doesn't 'wow' me. Matte-black is played-out and I think everyone has done radial lacing to where the style points are now outweighed by the fact it's the worst possible spoke configuration.

Cinelli used to be known for berzerk style that came out of no-where. I look at even the simple Pinocchio quill on my SOMEC and it looks to me like nothing Nitto could ever make.

This looks like they're biting off a piece of two years ago and covering it up with a healthy dose of marketing.

bash guard, set up with single speed, drops, 4 bolt cranks... I can't quite figure out what they are going for here. But the tape is great and I love the drop out inserts to add some positivity.

Single speed, switch from free wheel to fixed gear for unforgettable mystic emotions on road and track, thanks to the exclusive reversible 16 teeth flip flop rear hub.

This bike isn't really doing it for me...

Oh the horror.....What a great way to tarnish a brand. I just wonder what Cinelli expects to gain from that awful line of bikes. Maybe the fact is that they know they don’t really have anything to lose? I guess i’m just annoyed with the fact that Cinelli lowered their game to this level....

The final model is the one on the Cinelli website with 5 arms cranks from Miche (it's a road crank modified for single ring as the Sugino RD Messenger).

I told them to put clips and straps on the pedal but it seems they have fear that beginners are going to crash with clips and straps, same for the flip flop hubs: they think that the freewheel option is going to make the bike "safer" for beginners.

Geo is quite similar to the Vigorelli and the complete bike costs 750 euros here in Italy while the Vigorelli list price is 620 euros.
