I dig the color of the hubs in the SF. Las Vegas looks ridiculously tacky with the smattering of gold parts... [irony] can't wait to see the rest [/irony].

That's probably msrp list, I'm guessing. Still, in that range, I'd go for a Capo.

It is the MSRP pricing. I'll post the remaining pics when I get home if they're not up yet.

The Tokyo. If I could get the same artwork on an aluminum frame without a sloping TT I'd buy it as a frameset, I suppose...

I'm diggin' the Tokyo, it's sweet. The San Francisco is a little gay but I guess that's San Francisco.

I guess my only problems with the series are I think the frameset just looks ridiculous, but that's been covered in many other threads... and the components generally are really cheesy or half-hearted.

... those are really expensive. the normal 2008 langster is 690$... also, doesn't look like they have any upgrades or changes from 2008. only the new paint.

^^^ I feel like the price is hiked up because of the amount of people looking for a track bike all of the sudden.. The demand for a ready-made track bike has to still be on the rise.

Economy folks.

Our dollar is worth a heck of a lot less than it was when they set last year's MSRP.

Expect all bike prices to go up, or specs to go down. Trek did that last year. They down-specced almost everything for 2008.

Pics uploaded. I just went ahead and uploaded the ones that were already posted (thanks beard) for consistency.

I'm not sure how I feel about the base model. It has very classic track styling with the chromed frame as well as the lettering, but I don't think a lot of people will catch on to that and instead just think it's trying to be the older Pista.

Personally, I like the Tokyo the best out of all of them. The_Don, who lives in Tokyo was explaining to me that it reminds him a lot of old styling, old houses, old people, etc... and doesn't reflect how Tokyo really is. On the other hand, he really liked the NYC Langster, but I can't stand it.

Something to note about the increased prices... you'll see this across the board for the 2009 bikes I believe, and not just from Specialized. Specialized has said that price increases for all models will be between 10-15%, I assume from the added costs of production and shipment. Trek has done the same already, for instance the 7100 was a $350 bike 2 weeks ago, now it's $440.

It's worth noting that in cars, the new modeling for this year's model tends to add roughly 20% to the price. So buy an old one.

That said, and my fiery love of Specialized aside (I've had sex repeatedly, both with my 2004 Roubaix comp, and my old Hardrock), I really couldn't ever bring myself to buy a track bike with a sloping top tube, at least not one that didn't slope down forwards.

The city designs are pretty cool though.
