Spot Black

Anybody know anything about this bike? Looks pretty sweet, unfortunately no dealers are close to me. What do these go for?

Belt driven? Damn.

A friend of mine has one on order. He rode one last fall and loved it. If I had the room, and cash I would consider it.

I rode a 9er rigid version demoed from Spot out here in CO. As for the belt drive, if properly installed it will run forever with very little to no maitainence. I broke one that was not installed right. Regardless of that fact, after dealing with the guys at Spot, I'd buy one in a minute and think an on road fixed version would be sweet. I say go for it.

whats the advantage?

Advantage? No greasing your chain, but you have to replace the rubber once it gets loose. I personally would love it on a SS but not a fixed. I don't trust rubber that much ;D

that seems like it would be a little sketch on fixed, it seems like it could possibly slip or something
and its not like greasing your chain would take that long

I know a guy that runs the 9er, and he loved it. Just replaced it with a Niner one9 though, mainly because of the EBB. He always raves about the Spot frame though.
