i rode home from the bar pretty faded a couple nights ago...wasn't that fun, had to concentrate pretty hard. got home real fast, pretty blurry. don't think i want to bike that drunk again. a few beers and riding is pretty damn fun, tho. getting all stoney and riding is probably even more fun.

Why don't you just try saying 'I was too drunk to walk, so I decided to drive"

I did it last night and it was amazing. I was only in a t so i put my bandana on my face but I started breathing waay hard. It's nice when the drunk blood starts pumping and you sober up but feel capillaries blossoming. The only other time I have ridden a fixie drunk I went over some railroad tracks and my driveside foot popped out and got stuck between the crank and the frame. Thankfully some cops were right there breaking up a party and helped me out. Friends rode by and called me while the cops were helping me, they thought I was ****faced and getting arrested.

Once while skidding whilst intoxicated I fell over and busted up my face. So I kept drinking until the pain went away.

If I'm going to a party that is relatively far away and I'm not walking with friends, i'll ride. If I drink too much I lock my bike up and hope its still there in the morning.

i ride home from parties all the time. where i live theres hardly any traffic after 10:00 pm. so at 2 or 3 in the morning i can ride 3 miles and not see any cars, only drunk pedestrians smoking cigs on the sidewalk.

i can be drunk to the point of stumbling, hop on a bike and hold a line good enough to ride in a pack. the bike kinda balances for me i guess... i dunno... i guess its just like riding a bike you never forget. i have lights on my bike, i yield to cars, i keep the speed under 20 mph. its amazing i just feel like im flying around i cant feel or hear my road bike under me. im not a sloppy drunk either, im usually calm and collected i dont do anything dumb i wouldn't do sober, im probably more cautious. and for the record if your on a bike and not being a dumbass you are almost immune to the scrutiny of the law.

remember kids, drugs are only as dangerous as the person who uses them.

I have this game I like to play Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. It's called "get stoned as **** and ride down Court St.". Since Athens is a college town and a huge party one at that, there are tons of really drunk dude bro's stumbling across the street blindly without paying any attention, drunk drivers, just general debauchery. It's pretty dangerous but i feel like it's a video game.

how else do you get home after drinking? don't ride on busy roads like a ****** and its all good. it can't be compared to driving drunk at all. if i run into something or someone, im probably going to slow to hurt them or myself very much. im not piloting a 2000lb deathtrap.

otoh a friend riding drunk hit a branch or something in the road and smashed his face right up, but thats a risk worth taking to get home in 30min instead of an hour or two. lol, and on NYE i just fell over while trackstanding.

i always ride home from parties and stuff while i am at school. there had only been one time where i really shouldn't have been riding (because i dont remember it and woke up with a huge lump on my head and half of my face with road rash. but hey after that i learned to get a helmet!) but i morally i feel better riding while drunk than driving while drunk. more or less the only person i am endangering while i do this is myself so yeah

Once, when car-free. So wasted Everything was doubled. I went right down the middle of the road between the two sets of yellow lines. Stopped and walked anytime I saw a motor vehicle coming. Over 5 miles.

Anyone doing that?
i go tour-de-barring with friends quite a bit.

but in new york state, i would assume that you could hypothetically get slammed with a dui, since bikes are considered vehicles.

I don't mind riding drunk if I can still control myself but I don't really like to because it sobers me up quickly.

yeah, but it wasnt like i lost my balance (surprisingly) it was like i just forgot what i was doing and then i was on the ground, both feet still clipped in and everthing. but, to riding while drunk's credit, i was trackstanding at a red light to avoid oncoming traffic.

another story about riding home drunk: my brother was riding too closely behind me and i caught his front wheel when i swung my back wheel out in a skid. he just hopped off, out of his straps, and leap-frogged the handlebars and walked calmly forward like it never happened. f**king smoothest thing ever, he couldn't have done it sober.

I love me some drunk riding. However, it is very dangerous and irresponsible, not to mention illegal in some states. It's fun as hell though... no pain in my legs for the win. But lights are mandatory for this kind of thing..
Portland, OR definitely the best city to drink and bike in.

My friend got a DUI or whatever they call it for riding a bike while intoxicated. Pretty sure you're more of a threat to yourself than anyone else on a bike...
