Kilo TT Pro sizing
 

Hi guys & gals ;) I'm a newbie to fixed gears and was thinking of purchasing the Kilo TT Pro when it comes out. I'm a female who's 5'3". Which size frame would fit me best? 47cm or 50cm?

considering the kilo tt pro isn't even out yet (which i believe will use the same kilo tt frame), and that the kilo tt isn't currently offered in a 47cm, there is no way to know. If the Kilo TT Pro does share the same frame as the Kilo TT, the 50cm will more than likely be way too big for you as it has a 30" standover.

i'm 5'8 and i ride a 50cm Kilo TT. an IRO heidi or jamie roy is a better bet as far as fitting you.

The Windsor Hour/Motobecane Messenger from bikes direct in 43cm has a 28" standover and that may fit you as well.

Measure your inseam first that way you can get a better idea of what size bike you need. Your height has very little to do with bike size.

And the only way to really find out if you'll fit a frame well is to try it out...so look for a 47 and a 50 and see what you think of them

No wonder bikesdirect_com doesn't reply more. Everyone wants him answer every small silly questions that pretty much has already been answered a million times on this site (search for it!) and then you want him to build the frame the exact way you like it without making too much sense or being overly anal as if it's a high end custom frame being personally made for you.

Trying to please each one of you with a frame at smoking dirt cheap prices isn't going to happen. The Kilo TT is a damn nice frame for the price, look & ride for the general fixie public. The Pro is supposedly the same geometry with OX Platnium Tubing for a couple of bucks more. Buy it & ride it, otherwise get a custom frame made for yourself just the way you like it and move on.

The pro is actually the same Kilo TT that we have now but Bikesdirect is offering it with a much nice set of components. Mike (user Bikesdirect.com) said that the weight-savings offered with OX Plat was not much more but that the price would be higher. So, instead, he has decided to outfit the bike with nice components.

There was talk of an aluminium frame with nice parts too to compete with the Fuji Track Pro and maybe even the Bianchi Concept, but there hasn't been much more said about this yet.

Using LeMond's formula you'd need a frame size around 50cm.

Keep in mind that the Kilo frame measurements are center-to-center and not center-to-top. You'd PROBABLY need a 47cm Kilo but I would give them a call and talk it over with them first.

Kilo TT's are now offered in 47cm on the bikesdirect website.

Using LeMond's formula I got an average of 28 inches inseam/standover. So I think my best fit would be the 47cm Kilo. Thanks! :)

Yeah, I saw that ;) So, I've decided to just go for the reg. Kilo instead of the Pro and upgrade parts (to my liking) later :)

hey fyi I'm a 5'4 female with a 31in inseam, a 47 would be uber small for me, but I do ride with bullhorns.

Turns out my inseam is 28in, so a 47cm would be best for me.

Update: I just ordered a 47cm "grape soda" Kilo TT. Can't wait to ride!

Are we sure on this, because I have a 58cm Fuji which is Center to top, which is too small, and then I have a winter 63cm center to top which is just right...so 60-61cm would be perfect if its center to center...Also, has anyone dealt with bikeisland.com...specifically http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_S...ls&ProdID=1084
