So from what I am reading, the Iro saddle should be leveled with the seat? I didn't know that. Is it because of the frame?

I...have no idea what you just wrote.

The saddle should be more or less level. It shouldn't point up or down.

On the last page, Did you mean saddle should be straight or the seat height should be leveled to handlebar?

The saddle itself should be level, more or less. The height is determined by the length of your legs, not the handlebar.

IRO builds their wheels in house. in the FAQ, under "how long to receive my bike?", they mention that it typically takes 2 to 3 days to build the wheels...

Whatever. My point was less about robot jokes and more about how you should always double check the tension of any wheel you get in the mail. Maybe you should go tell anniehollis that her boyfriend is a lardbutt and that breaking six spokes in a week isn't IRO's fault—after all, they spend three days building those wheels.

I've been considering getting a black Mark V Pro frameset. But on their site, the colour option has only white.
have they stopped making the Pro in black?

Get the Angus if you want the black Mark V Pro, their specs are identical.

I prefer the Pro because it doesn't have bottle mount holes, and has a threadless fork.

Sorry I haven't visited in a while. That shot on the porch is stock except for my post and saddle. I paid for the Nitto bullhorns and the front brake and MKS pedals, so it was like 540 plus shipping which to SF was around sixty, so total out the door was 600 give or take a couple dollars. Since then I swapped stem and put on the Riv 28 gumwalls.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to post something like this in here, but if anyone is interested in a 53cm IRO Mark V complete with a lot of upgraded components, you may want to check out my Mark V that I just put up on eBay: https://cgi.ebay.com/2009-IRO-Mark-V-...item19bf9ba890 Feel free to reply or PM me if you have any questions or if you are interested. Sorry to hijack the thread, I've absolutely loved my Mark V but just looking to change things up and do my first build.

Mark V came in today!

So my Mark V single speed arrived today. I noticed when I assembled the bike and hopped on, the spokes were a little loose and were making some popping noises! So I did a quarter turn on all the spokes and tried riding again... hah I repeated this process about 4 times and it seems pretty good now. Took it for a quick test spin probably around 2-3 miles and I was trying to ride hard.... It's my first single speed (aside from BMX). I am very pleased with the bike, the only thing I don't really like about the stock components, which is probably just preference, is the bar tape. It's not very comfortable or soft (does it just have to break in?). Here are some pictures...

I eventually plan on getting a Surly Crosscheck but could I replace the Mark V fork with a Crosscheck fork to solve the front tire width restriction? Would there be any issues I would need to be aware of?

Doesn't look like the sunset to me. In fact, judging by the houses, I'd say it's a more outside district.

But my guess is as good as yours...
