Maybe the cogs threads hadn't been greased.

That is a great looking bike. Two Q's.

1.) How did you do that paint job? Spray? What did you use to strip and how was the process generally? How is it holding up?

2.) What size tires are those?

Thanks! The paint was quite simple...and ghetto! Sanded down the areas I wanted to paint...cleaned it real good with a sponge and dish soap + a good rinse with hot water. Dried it off and applied ~3 coats of spray. Which I found at home depot, and it matches the paint flawlessly (strange eh?)
Anyway...I let it dry for about a day, then cleaned it again. One more coat of spray, then let it dry overnight. Next day I cleaned it again, and hit it with a few coats of clear.

I was happy with the outcome, and the paint has held up well...I would be a liar if I said it isnt scratched and such, but I would also be a liar if I said I take good care of it All in all, it was a few day process, spending about $15...imo not bad.

The tires are 28c, but they run small...

question for the windsor hour 52cm owners...does the top tube slope down towards the seat post? or parallel to the ground?

Not mine, My Friend TJ's, aka bossross666. He's done alot to it, swapped out the saddle wheelset, geared it down. Looks pretty sweet.

Did you check the site? It says 103mm. English, of course.

I'm getting this bike sometime in December and pretty stoked to get it. Are the logos on the bike stickers or are they painted on?

They're decals under the clear coat.

How are the stock pedals/toe-clips? And does anyone have any suggestions or tips for other pedal/toe-clip options im pretty new to the FG scene and just trying to feel things out.

Thanks!

I took the stock pedals apart and gave the bearings a bit more grease. They're definitely not the nicest part of the bike.

Is there a pedal/clip you would recommend as a replacement?

Nope. I've been riding Shimano SPD since shortly after they came out. Between them and BMX flats for the last twenty years, I'm the last person to give pedal advice. I find the straps on the Windsor pedals to be inefficient compared to clipless, but expect someone to set me straight on that shortly.

Happy Holidays to all Windsor Hour lovers! I've been excitingly reading the thread while waiting for midnight to "open" my very own Hour which came in earlier this week.

After assembling and slightly customizing the bike, I decided to join the forum and contribute to this great thread :J

Cheers!
