thanks! i sanded and spray painted mine as well [3 coats/ 2 clear coats]. i think it was the ****ty paint but it rubbed off pretty easily. i'm currently getting it powdercoated

it's not hard, just keep practicing, try to get all your weight off the rear wheel. and use your straps and pedals.

same thing happened to me when i first got my bike. scary as hell. have them tighten your cog and lock ring if you haven't already.

It sat without wheels for 1.5 years and I finally got around to finishing it.

Selle Italia Turbo Saddle
Trans-X Bullhorn Bars
MKS GR9 Pedals
MKS Steel Clips
FSA Vero Cranks 48t Chainring (stock)
EAI 18t Cog
Dura Ace Lockring
Mavic CXP-22 Rims w/Formula Hubs
Continental Gatorskin 28c tires
Tektro front brake and cross lever (bikeisland economy front brake set)

Notes: The stock chain was not long enough for this gear ratio (48x18) because the rear wheel was rubbing the brake bridge. Added one link and it was fine. Rides great, i love it

EDIT: I have a Kinesis carbon fork, I can't decide if I want to install it. I am fine with how the stock steel fork rides, although I do wish the bars were an inch taller. I'd be switching mostly for aesthetic reasons.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BIKE!
The only downsides of this bikes are:
-Saddle is uncomfortable for long rides (replaced it with a italia turbo coming tomorrow)
-Plastic peddles are a FAIL (replaced them with MKS pedals, straps, and clips)

everything else seems awesome!

Do any of you know where I can find a fork for the Hour. Also, do any of you know what the rake is? I was reading around some other sources and most people were saying 28mm. If I were to switch over to a road fork somewhere around 43mm, what would the repercussions be?

Btw, has anyone had trouble with their cog/lockring slipping? I know im stupid for it, but I never really tightened it until recently. Before that after a good amount of skidding, something started to slip back there. I have heard in some places that the stock lockring on the windsor is crap. IS this true?

Contacted the manufacturer and they notified me that the 54 cm Windsor Hour has a fork rake of 40 mm.

just bought the hour yesterday, and finished reading 42 pages.... it comes with a free rear brake. can i just buy the front brake caliper and use the rear brake lever and cable?

im going to be using the bike to commute to work 8 miles each way. once or twice a week.

i'm trying to find some brake light and headlight can you guys recommend some brands and models?

from the reading the stock tires are crap, can you guys recommend a good commuter tire that will fit the stock rim?

I'll second riot's suggestion. Specifically I like the Superflash Stealth, and the Blaze 2W. Don't skimp on lights, personally when I bike the roads at night I worry most about drunk drivers, thus BRIGHT lights.

Assuming the Hour and Clockwork have the same geometry, what's the largest size tire that can fit?
