I think someone had that happen to their Windsor awhile back, too. Maybe not a Windsor, but some sort of comparable BD bike.

2001: A Space Odyssey. Most awesome movie of all time. I don't think the original had the f-word in it though.

Just ordered mine this morning, hopefully it comes soon. It's stupid how they give you no choice between matte black and gloss black.

thats the reason why i decided not to get a black color, because i wouldve wanted only matte black.

but youll be happy with your bike for sure.

i change my cog to a 18tooth cog and its been great for me. no problems so far.

How would The Hour hold up in the snow? I'm thinking of using one to commute around campus in Minneapolis.

I could also opt for a Fuji Classic Track (same geometry, right) for $550 or so at the LBS. I like the Fuji's looks. I test rode it today and it felt really nice. (Also, does anyone know the wheelset in that pic?)

The Fuji Classic Track and the Windsor Hour are the exact same bike.

I knew that.

But the Fuji has styling! Of course, whatever's cheaper. How much should I expect to pay for a once-over once at the LBS (not really 'local,' but)?

I would charge around between 20-30 bucks (based on my $60/hr labor rate). Don't pay more than that to have anything checked over that doesn't have gears.

How does the Tommaso Ninja Pro compare? https://www.giantnerd.com/tommaso-aug...rack-bike.html

The Hour looks good (though I prefer the simpler look of the Motobecane), and is cheaper (especially shipped). Is it better than the Ninja?

The Ninja Pro is actually a really decent bike for the price and doesn't get as much credit as it should. If I had my choice between the Tommaso and the Hour, I'd be rolling on a Ninja.

Nice to know, I might go with the Ninja, after all.

So I just did some snooping around and I learned that the Fuji I posted a pic of just above is a 2008 Fuji Track. When I went to the LBS to test ride it, I asked the mechanics what year it was and they said it was 'this year's model.'

...

Ok then. I noticed it said $559 on the sticker. How much would one offer to take it off their hands?

"This year's model - from three years ago."

Are there visible signs that it's been hanging around the shop and ridden a bunch or does it still look brand new? If it seems like they've had it around for a long time, maybe point out a few things that may be wrong with it (scuffs, scratches, etc) and offer $350.

Looked brand new to me. If I didn't learn it was from 2008, I would've completely believed it was made this year.

Call them out about it being 3 years old though. They most likely got a good deal on some old stock.
