I've got a shed full of bikes already but like most of you, I'm always looking. Checking out some of these in this thread has me hooked. This is my next purchase.
I've got a question about the clips and straps. Is that part of the simplicity of a SS? Is that why I never see one with clipless pedals?

I imagine straps hold on/let go better than clipsless when in a pinch.

IMO, clipless hold much better than a strap can. I can also get out of clipless with much more ease than I can cages and straps. But that is my preference.

I have time atacs w/ addidas marathons and would never go back to straps...too clunky, too much to fiddle with and way less comfortable.
I commute everywhere and just where them around cause they are mountain shoes....and at work I just have some shoes here..but this isnt a clipless thread so I let it rest. And I LOVE my windsor

How well does clipless hold you in? I ride brakeless so I need the added security.

I have had my Windsor for a week or two now, I love it. I thought the gearing seemed a bit high, so I counted and mine came with 48, 15. Just a heads up. At least now I know that switching to 17 will be a huge change.
Although, I have to say it is really ****ing fast.

17t cog and Nitto B123AA on their way to me... I'll post pics when I get the bars (going to paint them black). I'm still unsure what to do about the grips, perhaps Soyo grips on the drops w/ some black grips on top.

Mine actually shipped pretty quickly. I think what matters is how far away you are from them.

Are you going to get some other straps? Or something else (i.e. PowerGrips or clipless pedals)? Because I gotta tell you, those straps aren't nearly as stupid as riding brakeless without foot retention.

I dumped the stock saddle quickly because of that. Seems like it would be comfortable, but it wasn't.
I was having trouble with the toe clips & straps but then I adjusted them for my foot size/position & now all is well. I actually like the stock pedals. They're very similar to Shimano DuraAce pedals.
