Arc-Style Bar

Does anyone know of any manufacturer that makes a similar style bar to SOMA's Noah's Arc bar?

http://store.somafab.com/noahsarcbar.html

Know where i can find/purchase this style of bar?
Thanks

I bought one and it's nicer than I expected for the price.

Hsing Lung (HL) makes/made a pair. I believe that's what this guy has, you could ask him.

Edit: Wait, here's a pair.

yeah, i obviously realize where to buy the soma ones. but i was asking does anyone know a place selling a bar that's not soma. I've seen these around on a few bikes, and they seem to be made by different company (diff finish etc). The NYCB one looks pretty cool. I was looking for something with a fully smooth, curving shape, but on that bike it looks pretty good. Thanks for the lead. I'll see if i can hunt down a dimension bar as well.

I wasnt sure what this style of bar was called. And looking up arc bar all over, including ebay wasnt yielding the results i was hoping for.

Thanks again.

Look for a bike shop that used to sell Bridgestone and see if they have any leftovers in their take-off bar bucket. Some of their lower end hybrids used to come with arc bars and I used to pick them up cheap from shops where an original owner swapped them out for something else. Might be a few years too late by now, though...

Dimension makes a set, as mentioned. I have both.

Soma:

The dimension bars are about half the price, but they have more of a kink in them compared to the continuous bend of the somas. The somas are noticeably lighter, slightly wider, and I think have more sweep.

I'd get the soma bar first, unless you're broke.

And don't chop them down!

JayNev 07-08-08 01:39 PM

yeah the problem is that i'd want to chop them down (when i was looking for arc bars) so i figured it would almost defeat the purpose of having the arc in the first place

Zacked, Thanks! that is what i was hoping for. some actual testimonial and some great photos to illustrate the point. You rule!
