Lager SE and mtb fork
|
use a SE landing gear 26" fork...
front hub spacing is still 100... so use a standard 700c wheel. |
I understand that the spacing is the same, but wouldn't an xt hub laced to a 700c rim be stronger than a formula laced to the same rim? Is there any reason you suggest that fork over the surly besides weight? Is 100g's noticeable?

I have 32 h Profiles laced 3x to Deep Vs and have yet to have an issue with the front. Now the rear is a different story. Weight for trick riding is negligible. Weight weenies belong in crits and on the track. Not on the street. |
No, I only weigh 145. I can't afford nice profile hubs, so I would have to get formulas and I figure an mtb hub is better than a formula.
I feel the same way about weight. I just couldn't figure out why you suggested the SE fork over the Surly. I actually like the looks of the SE better. I just didn't know if there was any particular reason why you suggested it. |
I used a salsa crMoto fork its the lowest raked fork I could find in a larger length.
