Starter bike
I'll admit, i'm not looking to become a hardcore biker, or a messenger of any sort. I'm just looking for a pretty good starter bike thats light and reliable. I ride BMX right now, but for something to get me around town quicker, without bumping mirrors in traffic would be ideal.
I went to my local bike store and the only "decent" bike they had was a felt fixed gear.(https://www.cyclelicio.us/2008/04/fel...r-bicycle.html)
It was costing around $725 tax included.
Any suggestions? Maybe something a tad cheaper?
Thanks!

I hear its nearly the same frame as the Felt Dispatch, which is pretty slick. Personally, I think it looks tacky as hell (toptube pad + matching seat, flat bars, gold hubs) It's probably pretty comfortable to ride though..

The IROs are nice. But I prefer the Surly Steamroller to them though. The price is the better for the Steamroller complete, in my opinion.

I just started and I got the curbside. I've changed the seat to a black seat. I really like it. It's really not a bad bike at all despite what some of the folks on here think.
