Yeah, just had fun with the crew at Sunda Kelapa harbor in northern Jakarta for our last sunday ride in 2013. It's around 10 miles from our hood, not so far away from downtown but definitely had a beautiful scenery...

Probably will do another trip exploring the city later.

On last weekend's group ride, a rider's husband paid us a visit on the steep section of Bayne Road in Coloma. He is a professional photographer, so he took some great B&W pics of us climbing. The first 1.2 miles of this climb are double-digit steep, with grades in the twenties at times.

I'm the one in front here. The steep section ended with the woman with the hybrid finishing first (her husband is the one who took these pictures), then me, then the other two riders. There were two other faster riders that finished before all of us.

For those who enjoy my climbing videos, here's the entire uncut 1.2 mile steep section with DashWare Garmin data overlay. Normally I edit long climbs like this down to 10-12 minutes or so, but there was plenty of commentary from the other riders. I also wanted to document the entire steep part with the DashWare overlay for my own benefit and for other riders who are interested, so I left this video uncut. This turned out to be a wise decision based on the likes and comments I got on Facebook. There is a slight blip at 14:27 where the camera created a new file due to the limitations of the FAT32 file system, so I think there may be a fraction of a second of footage lost when the camera does that. The DashWare overlay is uninterrupted though. There is also a slight creak coming from my helmet, but thankfully it disappears after a few minutes. There is plenty of commentary from the other riders, so be sure to turn up the volume. There's some good commentary directed towards me starting at 15:35, including another rider telling me to breathe harder to give her motivation I was controlling my breathing pretty well though, so she'll have more of a challenge finding good "porn breathing". I think she and the others were trying to break my concentration by making me laugh

Oh no, more like 190 bpm on the harder parts. The "1" is pretty close to the other two numbers on the display, so it may be harder to read.

Finally not raining. Did a nice 36 miles route through the orchards and farms. And yes that's a fanny pack. Easy way to carry a couple tools, mini pump, spare tube, and light jacket for later.

I don't wear jersey shirts at all or any shirt at all once the temp goes up any more. Normally I just throw everything in my chrome bag, but I prefer not to ride with a bag on my back for long rides. And my only saddle bag is on another frame right now.

And a pump will get stolen off a frame first time I lock it up anywhere. Everything fits comfortably in the fanny pack. Is there a problem with using one?
