Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

what wrong with that? I don't really like wearing cycling specific shorts unless I'm going on longer rides of 50miles and over. It's morer comfy to wear a jersey and shorts than a full kit

if those shorts are jean shorts, any mildly spirited ride no matter how short would not be fun for me.

Thanks for the comments. I just spend way too much time on eBay/Craigslist and way too much money on bike parts, but it's what I love to do. :-)
