HEY GUYS I HAVE A RALEIGH TECHNIUM I BOUGHT FOR $100. I SEE TWO BIKES ON CRAIGSLIT I REALLY WANT AND THEY BOTH SINGLE SPEED BUT DONT KNO WHICH ONE TO BUY. THe Thing Is I Want To Convert My Raleigh To A Fixed Gear And Have A Separate Single Speed. What Do You Suggest. Should I Sell My Raleigh And Save It And Buy A Fixed Or Fix My Raleigh Up And Which Single Speed Should I gET ? The bike's fun to ride. I considered cutting the bars and flipping them, but I liked the look so much I left them as is. You can drop by my place for a test ride or we can meet anywhere in the city proper. I have a preference for the Loop, Logan Square, Lake View, Bucktown areas. go with whichever one fits you the best and is the cheapest. Your more than likely going to upgrade parts so the less money you spend the better. Ride them all and see which one your most comfortable on. A good fitting bike is going to be much better than a tricked out bike thats too big or small. Not to mention a much better place to start.
