Good looking black wheels that aren't Deep-V's
Hai guyz.
I'm gonna go pick up a pista concept later today, and plan to order a new wheelset to go with it. Sadly the only real thing that comes to mind is the Deep-V. I like the deep look of them but for one, everyone has them, and they sort of do make the concept look like a toy.
What else is out there in terms of quality, strong, good looking black rims?
Right now I have some shatty salsa delgado wheels, machined, but they are old and tired and I'd like to do this concept up proper.

mavic ellipse.
not the lightest, but lighter than deep v, smooth hubs, bladed spokes and strong. i don't crit race and am not 200 pounds, so i cant speak in the way of stiff or not. they come with a mavic lockring, which works perfectly with eai cogs.

so much hate on the deep v's
a wheels a wheel, a bikes a bike.
f-it if you think everyone has them, do what you want, you are putting it on a concept....so yeah, thats like the honda civic with the twin turbo's that every kid wanted in high school anyways in bling factor alone, but just in bike form.

Wow those ellipses look sweet..
But I'm for the box section rim. Ambrosio FTW
But then again on a Pista Concept you might want to go with something "cooler".
Bladed and Aero.. I've got no suggestions.
But I thought about getting the velocity aero heads.
They seem nicer compared to the deep-v's.

Fusions are fine. I still ride my front Fusion, my rear died 6 months after being hit by a car which left zero damage to the bike but put my wheel out of true by 5 or 6mm or so.
