seagull bags saga
I really wanted a seagull bag because they sounded bad ass and had lots of neat features so I ordered a deluxe one for $275 on 5/17. A month went by and still no bag, they said they were really busy so I figured okay I can wait a little longer. I also e-mailed them my new address since I moved during this time. The wait continued. Another month goes by and I am starting to get kind of mad at waiting this long since their website says the wait is 6 weeks. One of my e-mails went completely ignored. Finally on 7/22 they ship the bag, but they ship it to my old address. Now the bag is in the hands of the post office and will hopefully get returned to seagull bags.
By now it seems like only a miracle will get me my bag. Honestly the company seems like a bunch of cool people but they absolutely suck when it comes to running a business. Maybe they are too busy drinking PBR and riding their bikes to actually run a business of this size. I just want my freakin bag!

You didn't leave a forwarding address with the PO for the old address? The PO usually holds packages for a few days before returning to sender, give'em a call and see if they still have it.
As for seagull bags, I bought a Black Bag from them and they took more than 6 weeks to get it to me. It's a great bag and I sorta just overlooked the fact that it took a while to get. They are a small operation that i'm sure just got bombarded with orders. I'm sure other handmade bag makers(ReLoad, Freight) are having just as much trouble keeping up with orders. Now i'm not saying that it makes it right, even if they are going to be late with the bags, the least they can do is be keep better tabs on their email (which i'm sure is pretty difficult, but if you're going to fault on one, keep up with the other)
In the end, Seagull Black Bag, greatbag, maybe next time i'll shell out for a deluxe.

Postin this on a couple forums? You're just all up on the internets about your late bag!
I ordered some **** from cambria. Some of it was on backorder. Then I remembered some more **** I wanted. And I called them. And I asked if they could add it to my order. And they did. And I still don't have any it. I'm just waiting. Not firing off any e-mails or anything, just waiting around. I think I might get it soon. Dunno, tho. I've mail ordered other stuff before. Sometimes when I get it, it's better than I expected! But then sometimes it's not quite what I thought it would be.
Anybody else got any crazy stories about mail-ordering stuff?

When a company charges your credit card almost $300 and gives you no time frame for when your bag will be done and then ignores your e-mails and then sends your bag to the wrong address it is more than just "being late". It is poor business practice.

Thanks for being patient. We just hired a few new people and completely redesigned our shipping process. I am sorry that your last e-mail got overlooked. It is not our practice to ignore any phone calls or e-mails. Let us know if you have any problems with your bag. Again, sorry for the poor communication. We try very very hard to make sure that people have a good experience with us.

Got this email when I was trying to find my pockets:
It should be located in the interior seam of the bag, usually towards one side or the other. You kind of have to pull the seam apart to find it.
Turns out my bag didn't actually have them. My bag was made when they were busy changing stuff around in January so I'm not too mad about it and I just used the credit to get a toptube pad.
