Purple Chris King

Just wondering if anyone has or has a lead on a purple 1-1/8" Chris King Threadless Headset. King stopped the purple production on Jan 1, 2005. I've called around with no avail.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for posting this in the SS/Fixed forum but this is where pretty much all my posting has been and this group really knows how to find parts.

Yeah I've called both of those places yesterday. Many of the websites list it as an option but don't have any. I'm guessing my best source is a LBS that has one laying around.

Fingers crossed because it would look ubber cool with my new wheels.

THANKS!!

I have a flat bar that perfectly matches those hubs. I've been thinking I need to start buying parts so I can build up a bike around it.

Or not.

The bike I'm building up is a black Surly 1x1. I went with black spokes and black DT swiss rims. The hubs should just ZING! Color is good but there's a point where it's over done. Unless you can get everthing, them just hit the major accent points; jmho.

So has any shop or distibution employee found anything tucked under your stairs?

I have found 1" and 1-1/4" threadless just not 1-1/8". So close yet so far.

Hey Kieker, thanks for your call yesterday...I have been calling all my suppliers today and have come up completely dry unfortunately. My guess is that it will be pretty tough to find one of these. Most shops wouldn't order in a purple headset unless there was a specific demand for it, so I am guessing that the availability of any old stock in local shops is pretty unlikely. Sorry dude!

^I forgot that your opinion was the only one that matters.. to myself. Siiiiike! Open your mind to other people's preferences. You don't have to put purple on your bike but if I want to, you don't need to say a word about it. So you go die. Sad and alone in your hole of intollerance and bitterness.
