Converting from 27" to 700cc?

Is it possible to convert an old fuji to 700cc?
The ease of the conversion?
Sorry for the noob question.

remove 27" wheel, install 700c wheel.

Wow noob alert sorry.

You might want to check that your brake pads can reach low enough, if you run brakes.

Plus maybe longer reach brakes. Tektro R556 LINK or similar long reach brake might be needed; once again the late Sheldon Brown's site is the one to consult, in this case HERE. For an older bike, also visit his site HERE.

Thank you!

Hey, this page also solved a brake-installation problem I was having with my son's old Peugot. I knew the answer already, but Sheldon tells me exactly with dia drill I need.

Refer to his section: Mounting recessed calipers on older frames

Sorry for the noob question.

You may also want to try the search function next time. This is a frequent topic.

The only issues are that your brakes may not reach and you'll further drop the height of the bottom bracket.

I got lucky with the Purple Mistake, the Weimann Centerpulls still reached.

Yeah, but its nice to occasionally churn the muck up from the bottom and I get the opportunity to post The Mistake again.

For some reason too much reading this forum tells me I am supposed to hate that bike, but it's gorgeous (as a slow-moving MUP/small town cruiser).

I bought a decent set of 27" wheels for $136 from ebay (seller:fixedgearguru) for my '73 Raleigh Record. I'm just sayin'...
