There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a car and a bike. There is some incongruity in pouring money into a car to trick it out and posting it on a bike forum. However, in and of itself owning a car is not sacrilege to an eco-friendly lifestyle.

I live in the city and can go without a car but not everyone lives in a urban center. It's actually more fun--and sometimes faster--to bike in the city than to drive. However, I grew up in the burbs and my first car was a '95 Legacy which I absolutely loved. Subaru makes great cars. If I move out of the city for job reasons I will likely get a car. It will definitely be a Subaru. I will still have and ride my bike.
