Tube Top Pad Construction

Anyone got some links to construction instructions for making your own padded tube top pads? Or alternatively links to inexpensive pads. I dislike how they look but functionally they make carrying a bike up flights of stairs much more comfortable.

Also have heard, that the pipe insulation you get at home depot, wrapped in fabric, makes for a quick/easy top tube pad.
