Reload TT Pad Q

I am looking at the reload pads and they list that they have quarter-inch closed-cell foam padding. I want a pad that will make caring my bike on my shoulder more comfortable. Do these pads do that job or they mostly just protection for paint?

Yes they will definitely help make carrying your bike more comfortable. The 1/4" closed-cell foam is the preferred type because it will last longer and I believe it may have some other properties that make it desirable over typical cheap foam padding. If I'm not mistakien, it's the same type used for pipe insullation. I have a Bici pad and it definitely makes long trips up stairs more managable.
