Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I pretty much had the idea you could only get them online, but I was jw if there was a different site other than bikesdirect.com that carried the Mercier Kilo TT's.

the one in plano tx does NOT carry the kilo tt.
the employees there have never even seen on in person.

and it's called "cycle spectrum".
it's the bike island/ bikes direct retail store.

Yes, Plano, TX is in Texas. And bikesdirect.com operates out of Texas as well.

yeah for the purposes of screwing around, kids growing up always spelled it "sike" - it should be more like Spiccoli than Mr. Hand.

Yes, but, kids growing up misspell the as "teh" and a whole slew of other internetisms. The way in which kids growing up spell certain words should not be used as ANY sort of measurement of acceptable or correct spelling.

It should also be noted that aside of the contextual definition, Urban Dictionary defines sike as a misspelling of both psych and psyche.

1) urban dictionary is worthless. trite web fodder for dorky college kids. it's gone from lame to lamer in a matter of three years, and is in no way an authority on anything but wackness.
2) psych is an abbreviation of psychology. it's where the word sike originates, but it's not spelled the same. just like "phat" came from fat, or "jawn" came from john, the slang is spelled differently. squares seem to miss that point. let it forever be ingrained in your memory.

'sike' is annoying internet speak, just like using zeroes instead of the letter O.

From merriam webster:
1psych Variant(s)r psyche \ˈsīk\Function:transitive verb Inflected Form(s)syched; psych·ingEtymology:by shorteningDate:1917 1: psychoanalyze2 a: to anticipate correctly the intentions or actions of : outguess b: to analyze or figure out (as a problem or course of action) <I psyched it all out by myself and decided — David Hulburd>3 a: to make psychologically uneasy : intimidate, scare <pressure doesn't psych me — Jerry Quarry> —often used with out<has a way of psyching out the competition> b: to make (as oneself) psychologically ready especially for performance —often used with up<psyched herself up for the race>

Ah, it's the old "I'm not wrong because I'm hip and you're square" gambit.

Well, I'm on to you boy-o. You're not pulling the wool over my eyes (or rather, "wool ovr mi eyez" as you hipsters would have it.)
