Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'm with you brother, I'm riding fixed to be part of the cool demographic as well

The funny part about this thread is that if you don't have ad-blocking on and you post some brand names like:

World of Warcraft
Pizza Hut
Victoria's Secret
Cervelo

You are now more likely to see crap! BF is now parsing posts to do targeted ads.

I used to play World of Warcraft. It stole 1 year of my life, now i realize how pointless it was. I make up for that time by riding even harder.

I never knew what Warcraft was until I read this thread.
Thanks to OP for bringing attention to useless information.

Makes sense to me. A huge population of the SSFG forums are college age kids. A ton of college age kids play video games. Riding a bike doesn't make you uber cool or anything, why can't us bike riders be nerdy too?

Plus I've known more married ~30 year olds who played WOW than anyone else...

right-click the link and "save link as.."

in firefox: tools > adblock plus preferences > filters > import filters > browse to the text file you just saved > append

man.... I freaking love you.

This site and another forum I frequent had been really slow for me, every thread taking 5 seconds to load type stuff.

Now they're both instantaneous....
