OT: is it just me, or is the forum especially interesting today?

Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

OT: is it just me, or is the forum especially interesting today?

i usually get frustrated reading ss/fg, but there seems to be an abnormally high ratio of on topic/interesting to off-topic/lame threads today.

does this mean it's going to rain?

Lame.

Actually, it was ruined before I stepped into the scene, what with your improper "slang" spellings and all. But no, I actually haven't gamed for a number of months... probably close to a year, now that I think about it. Why do you ask? Would you like to come to the next tournament? I've got a spare set of dice you can use...

Oh, please. You're a system administrator. You probably have a beard and a UNIX book under each arm.

You're on a website discussing gear ratios, tire pressures, frame geometry and the merits of derailleur equipped bikes versus fixed gear systems.

Trust me dude, we're all nerds here. I may be a paid photographer, and my girlfriend may DJ at a bar broadcast live on the radio, and I may have great social skills even, but dude, we're all bike nerds here. You're deluding yourself if you think otherwise
