If i wasnt so dead set against removable face plate stems I would be interested in these with the 2 inch rise, but a 1 or 1.5 inch rise would be better. They are very 1996 bmxish.
|
Looks like an ugly way to get your bars higher than the stem would allow. Why not raise the stem and get a nice flat bar?
|
again. taken off of lafixed. email suggestions to that guy or something. i was just the messenger

I really like them, nice bike too. Do you think these could handle the stress of BMX? If so, I know a few people that would love them.
|
What is the bar clamp size?
|
Cut the bottom flange at a 30deg angle to trim weight and look a little less... old school bmx.
What is the wall thickness? Go thin wall and heat treat them and you'd have buyers since you can advertise the weight without being embarrassed. Maybe go smaller OD on the down tubes and pierce the flatbar and clamp tube... Maybe try a J type bar if you need funk. |
lolz
|
Basically you reinvented scerbo bars.
|
ugly. ugly. ugly.
might as well just put some bmx handlebars on. |
Not my thing but I hope you can cash in on the craze, $40 at a time. Good luck.

I think you should advertise them installed upside down, and call them "downers"... A new craze, and you may get some drop bar riders to convert.
|
Will TT brake lever fit in the inner opening?
|
I'm not feeling the love........

no no no, guys you've got it all wrong, those are upside down in your pictures, they're drops, not risers. . . .
hA! that'd be fun to ride actually . . . though i'm not sure you'd want to do it outside. better stick to the trainer with those ; ) besides, somebody would accuse you of being a "hipster" if you reversed them for practicality :P |
oooooo, better yet, straight stem with those straight out functioning as a stem. . . .
u.u i'm going to he** for that suggestion |
look like they'd be big in Japan.
|
no just attach them straight to the top of the steerer, and then they are handlebar+stem combo... like S-Works, but for the tarck bike

I don't hate them. In limited applications, I might even like them.

hideous... yuck.. i vomited in my mouth a little
|
hmmm. The bars are growing on me. They don't look as bad as yesterday. On the right bike they'd be bangin' :thumb:
*come to think of it, bar caps/plugs would be pretty simple to stick in the open ends... |
They're not so bad. I'd rock them... but not for $40.

Yeah, you gotta have limits. I definitely wouldn't want more than one pair of those on my bike. Two at most.
