interesting -- they do look a little heavy, and i'd be a little bit concerned about the middle area being open to the elements (so that junk could get inside the bars).

JayKay 08-07-08 11:59 AM

found it posted in hkfixed blog.

apparently it is going for 40 bucks but tried googling up the email add and the only site i found was a flagged posting in sfcraiglist

jpdesjar 08-07-08 12:01 PM

those are neat, you could always put some plugs in the open ends to keep 'stuff' out

JayNev 08-07-08 12:03 PM

ugh, ridiculous

JayKay 08-07-08 12:04 PM

yeah i must admit..it looks kinda rad. thinking about it but without any credible site or reviews........

ZiP0082 08-07-08 12:07 PM

looking a second time, i think it'd be tricky to get a brake lever on there anywhere, but maybe that's the point.

jpdesjar 08-07-08 12:10 PM

top tube lever

JayKay 08-07-08 12:11 PM

bar end levers......

bryyando 08-07-08 12:16 PM

its on lafixed. its supposed to be made from one guy

_hollister_ 08-07-08 12:34 PM

very 1998 bmx looking.

helloamerican 08-07-08 12:40 PM

with oury's you'd fit a break alright. they do look heavy though.. and for some reason i have trouble trusting welded together bars, not that they'd break.

iamtim 08-07-08 12:46 PM

Quill stem incompatible. :(

Otherwise... cool.

dookie 08-07-08 12:58 PM

if you insist on running risers, these are perty dope!

667 08-07-08 01:00 PM

What are these and where do you get them?

erichsia 08-07-08 01:01 PM

^^^ you sure about that? what's the clamp size on these?

GregLast 08-07-08 01:23 PM

**** that. That's ugly.

JayNev 08-07-08 01:32 PM

very ugly. 2 or 3 inch rise? geez.

bryyando 08-07-08 01:40 PM

My name is Nate (from Long Beach) I have started a line of custom riser bars we are now ready to produce and we are ready to release LAFIXED.

This is a grassroots company as of right now. I would love nothing more than to say we got out start selling to riders on this forum plus our first sale will be directly donated to it.

As of now we are making 3 styled

2 inch rise

3 inch rise

3 inch rise with middle bar

We are about to get some powdercoated this week but as of right now we are spray bombing them in 5 colors

Flat Black
Gloss Black
Gloss Red
Metallic Blue
Gloss White

Below are some pics

3inch rise and 3 inch rise with bars

If you are interested we will be selling them for $40 plus shipping

Please email me at Nate@hyphybikes.com and specify which bars you would like and I will tell you where to send your MO.

On a side note there are frames and stems in the works. Support your local community.

straight off of lafixed, i think he's doing bullhorns too

eMwolB 08-07-08 01:52 PM

Not good for me...I ride so fast that the openings will have a flute effect...maybe I should drill more openings in it and play Yankee Doodle Dandy when I ride : )

cc700 08-07-08 01:59 PM

super ugly.

nice welds though. i'm sure you'll make profits.

peabodypride 08-07-08 02:09 PM

no.

667 08-07-08 02:10 PM

I like them.

c0rpse 08-07-08 02:11 PM

I really like them, nice bike too. Do you think these could handle the stress of BMX? If so, I know a few people that would love them.
