Bianchi carbon fork
On craigslist I found someone selling a 2004 Bianchi cross concept frame and parts. I'm interested in upgrading my CrMo fork to something lighter. What would be a reasonable offer for his carbon fork?

the rake of this fork is going to affect the geo/handling on your bike if it's "track" (henceforth referred to as tarck) geometry.
ps, do you run cantilever brakes? if you don't (likely if you ride a tarck bike), this will present another issue. your best bet is to look for road forks (most tend to have the same rake as tarck forks), though researching your specific rake is ideal so as not to alter the geo whatsoever. out of curiosity, what steerer diameter are you running? i don't want to take for granted that you haven't considered this, but based on your post it's possible you may not have-- this matters a great deal. |
The steerer diameter (1 1/8") and rake (50mm) are the same as my current fork. I do use cantilever brakes, so I'm looking for a fork that's compatible with those. (I have a San Jose that I use as a road bike and am outfitting as such, since the 44cm frame is one of the few frames that's small enough for me.)
