NEW BIKE PICS! Super Happy.
Well here She is. After months of saving/waiting/planning She is finally done! This is my first Fixed Gear Build and after my first spin (including several skip stops and track stands) I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Coolest $hit EVER. Here is a little about the build and then on with the Bike Porn:
Frame/IRO Mark V 62cm.(Powder Coated Satin Black)
Rims/Velocity Deep V's (Black ANO)
Hubs/Phil Wood 32h. (Black)
Spokes/DT Swiss Competition Double Butted (Black)
Nipples/? (ANO Red)
Tubes/Forte Puncture Resistant (Bomb Proof!)
Tires/Continental Grand Prix 4000S's (23c.)
Headset/ACROS (Red ANO)
Stem/Thomson Elite (26.0mm/130mm./-5dg.)
Bars/SOMA Fab EL TORO's (42cm.). I also bought some NITTO B259AA Risers as well (Black ANO) w/shim. I think I am just going to swap out the stem for a 25.4 so both will fit better w/no shim needed.
Brake/Tektro Quartz (Black)
Crankset/Sugino 75 (Black 175mm.)
Chain Ring/Sugino Zen (Black 50t.)
Bottom Bracket/Phil Wood Stainless (109.5mm.)
Cog/Phil Wood Stainless (16t.)
Lock Ring/Phil Wood
Chain/KMC Stainless
Seat Post/Thomson Set-Back (330mm.)
Saddle/Fizik Arione w/K:ium Rails
Pedals/MKS GR9's w/MKS Stainless Cages
I believe I am somewhere in the neighborhood of 84.6 Gear Inches and it is super smooth. I am like a damn kid on this thing.
I am curious to hear your thoughts. Hate if you want I just don't care.
Many Thanks to all who put up with my often stupid Noob ?'s throughout the course of this build. Aside from all of the too cool for school that goes on alot in this forum there is also a plethora of valuable info/insight as well.
Much Love,
PF

Wow I'm digging that bike a lot. Looks good. I'm in the market for a Mark V. Toggling between sizes. If you don't mind me asking how tall are you? i'm a hair under 6'3 with a 34" inseam. Would you recommend the 62 or 59?

UPDATE!!! So tonight I rode her on a 24 mile fast club ride. I was riding with/against road racers on Full Carbon Geared Bikes and I finished about middle of the pack which I consider totally decent seeing as though I haven't been on a road bike since January. Dudes decked out in team race kits were like "HOLY $HIT DID YOU SEE WHAT THAT DUDE WAS RIDING?!" It was super fun and I must say one of the most physically and mentally taxing rides I have ever done. I am moving to Boulder, CO. on Monday morning so I can't wait to start living/training/having mad fixed fun @ altitude. I should get REALLY STRONG QUICK! Anyways, I will post some more pics after the move.

Good to hear you like it. Just put in my Mark V order this afternoon. Will definitely not look anything like yours but it'll be a nice first bike.

It's refreshingly simple style wise and is tastefully executed. No Aerospokes, or bright pink toptube pads. Thompson and Phil. Just the right amount of red, not to disrupt the all black. And that is ALL black.
