For all who ride metal clips.

Do your feet get sores from pushing and pulling like mine do? I don't like wearing socks much as I'm sure most of you don't either because of the way they make your feet slip around in your shoes when skidding. Do you find that any plastic cages or clips work close to efficiently as metal? Maybe I'm exerting pressure on certain parts of my feet that most people don't get since my feet are huge and all.

WTF? is that new fixie-fad? No socks? Ridiculous man, wear some socks, they're there to keep your feet dry. That's probably why you're getting sores in the first place.

I don't wear socks most of the time. If you actually clean your feet in the shower and keep your shoes clean it is not very nasty at all.

do you use the 4-gate soma clips? they are notorious for having a couple ****ty pressure points.

I would think the type of shoes would have more effect on reducing the pressure points than socks...

Have you tried clipless yet?

Now that you mention it, this seems to be the new trend at my college too. I've always noticed those shoes getting reallly popular but only now have i noticed that not wearing socks is half the trend. Thanks for the hip tip. Regardless, I wear socks all the time to keep my feet dry, snug, and free from stinking.

i wear vans authentic with no socks some of the time when its real hot/with shorts. ankle socks are stupid with vans, thats why.

but yeah, socks make sense. i can't see sperrys being comfortable for riding, either. unless its around the block for a photoshoot or something

thanks for the tip, i'm taking my ankle socks off right now. i'd much rather have blisters and shoes that smell like rotting garbage as long as i look cool.

if you want the benefit of not wearing socks (the way it looks) but want the benefit of socks (no sores, no smell, snug fit) then just go to Journey's and buy these socks.

https://www.journeys.com/catalog_deta...Socks&id=80075

you can't tell that you're wearing any socks.

genius? i think so.

No socks?

I think responsible citizens should always practice safe riding and wear socks to avoid sores.....
