Outboard bearings and my bloody ankles
I recently picked up the truvativ Omnium cranks which by the way are phenomenal cranks and I don't know why I waited this long for them. But what i've realized is that with the outboard bearings my ankle is occasionally hitting the crank arm and I keep getting all cut up. Any one else experiencing this? I'm not too concerned I know my ankle will callus, but maybe its my stroke.

nope unless it's a problem I've had for 5+ years of riding. just never realized it because with normal BB's the crank arm curves out and you have clearance for the ball of your ankle when you are at the bottom of your stroke, not the case when that space is occupied by bearings.

wait, "the ball of your ankle when you are at the bottom of your stroke"? are you on your toes at the bottom of your stroke or are your feet parallel to the ground?
or are you saying during the down stroke?
or are you saying during the down stroke?

no toes down a bit, I mean the side of my ankle that ball, not my heel or the ball of my foot. like right above my shoe
