Eighth Inch "Scrambler"
Just saw these things start popping up on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-55CM-FIXED-G...QQcmdZViewItem Looks like another standard 4130 TIG welded frame. The cheapo carbon fork kinda makes me nervous. Anyone have any experience with these? |
Where do people come up with these horrible names?
Eighth Inch? Are they anti 3/32? lol And Scrambler? Theyre just begging people to remove their stickers. |

Also, it seems pretty heavy at 5.2 lbs. |
haha...i missed that.
|
So the stickers are sold separate? I'm getting a set for the front of my pants.
|
You have an eighth inch wang?
Are you 1 year old? |
maybe he's on his eighth one incher. something that small would probably wear out fast
|
Oh damn... I read that eighth as eight. Although I suppose it wouldn't be true either way.
|
frame looks great has a really beefy ht gusset (great for those ever hip tricks yall do)
|
Would you rather have an 8 inch wang, or 8 1 inch wangs, or 64 1/8th inch wangs?
Exactly. See this is why this bike is stupid. |
it depends, can they grow all over my body like pimples?
|
i actually saw one in person about a month ago before they figured out the fork situation, i may be wrong but i think they are the exact same thing as the kilo frameset since they said they were having the same issues with the steerer tubes on the forks being too short.
They looked pretty solid for the price. I might actually get one. |
So what exactly is the issue with another variant of low cost faux-track frame?
Resentment that somebody else might enjoy you hobby? |

The frame looks pretty cool. But im not paying $250 shipping on a $139 frame.

Exactly. See this is why this bike is stupid. It just wouldn't do to be a sicko without that kind of equipment |
doesn't even vaguely resemble the kilo.

Not to mention half of that shipping is going to ebay fees.
Royally screw ebay in the butt, I haven't sold or bought on there in forever and I closed my account. |
i ain't gonna lie, that fork is hot. i'm sure whoever "built" these frames is not building the fork, just throwing it on, anyone know what it is?

I may be wrong, but I think they are the exact same thing as the kilo frameset since they both use two wheels. JK The bike looks nothing like the Kilo. EDIT: Sloping TT for one? Or is it an optical illusion because the fork is longer? |
who would like to confirm the verdict?

I've got one of these frames. No complaints, it's a frame. Seems pretty sturdy, not too heavy. I was a bit concerned about the fork as well, and still might end up replacing it, but seems to be holding up ok so far... Hopefully it'll stay that way.

Very dissapointing thread. Saw Scrambler, and thought someone had converted aSchwinn Scrambler into a fixed gear.... oh well.
Makes me wonder if Dorel/Pacific will be contacting the 1/8th people. |
