Did you already post this question?

elmoloveftl 08-23-08 09:06 PM

I only posted it in SS/FG photos. Thought I'd take a shot at the whole board.

Dannihilator 08-23-08 09:17 PM

Looks like it might be a GT.

bw286 08-23-08 09:30 PM

no, no no no!
gt seat tube goes through the top tube. not everything with the triple triangle is a GT!

cc700 08-23-08 09:33 PM

that's what i said in the pic thread.

anyone who thinks it's a GT is a loser! LOOOOOOOOOOH ZEEERRR!!!

Gambutrol 08-23-08 10:02 PM

Not all GT seat tubes go through the top tube, there have been three iterations of the junction.

In this case, the dropouts are much beefier than those found on the typical GT.

Nice find.. and for half price. What a deal.

triplesixer 08-24-08 02:07 PM

Def not a GT. Although I do love those GT gtb's...
*stares longingly at picture of gtb hanging on cubicle wall*

Perhaps it's a Titan frame. They made Ti frames in the 1980s and perhaps later, IIRC.

bdfresh 08-24-08 02:42 PM

sick looking frame, i'd say it's some custom frame taken design from the GT frames and other bikes. I really do like it though.

sp00ki 08-24-08 07:19 PM

wow... it's titanium?

yeah, i meant i wanted to see one where the seattube doesn;t go thru the top tube

Soil_Sampler 08-24-08 11:19 PM

that doesn't, it has a cap welded on the back of the seat tube to simulate it.

SilentEdge 08-24-08 11:36 PM

So you paid $700 for a frame that you have no clue what it is?

skinnyland 08-25-08 07:49 AM

Looks nice to me. Let's see it built!

jdms mvp 08-25-08 07:58 AM

700$ for an unknown frame is a lil much....

illusion.

I imagine that frame was built at GT's custom shop in Longmont Colorado.
