iwegian 08-28-08 07:38 PM

famelec 08-28-08 07:51 PM

I just started riding a fixie at 40. Why have I been messing with all those gears for all these years?

Popeyecahn 08-28-08 08:26 PM

46, haven't flipped the back wheel yet though. I guess I'm I'm still a bit apprehensive about making the swap, it's only been 2 months since returning to biking. Ah what the hell maybe this weekend I'll give it a go!

lns55 08-28-08 09:31 PM

Adam G. 08-28-08 09:33 PM

Will be 38 in Nov. almost 40 but I had to chime in this thread! A fellow fixed rider myself!

Otis 08-28-08 09:37 PM

47 in a few weeks. Ride fixed all winter and usually in good shape come spring for it. Also use a FG beater for errands and around town year round.

paramount 08-28-08 09:43 PM

Right on - just turned 43, ride fixed year round.

GeraldChan 08-28-08 09:58 PM

51 next month and have been riding FG for 2 yrs.
I now have 2.
I have clincher and tubular wheels for each bike. Prefer the sew-ups:love:

I ride a 44X16 on the tubulars and 44X17 on the clinchers.

kemmer 08-28-08 10:16 PM

WTF, I'm not old enough for the old guy thread? Fine then, I'll just go back to thirty year old land, wherever the **** that is.

powerband 08-28-08 10:21 PM

40. FG year round. Hung up my geared bikes for another time. For now, fixed. And probably forever.

It's what used to be sleeping in a van by the side of the road back in '73. Now they are associate professors at the local junior college.
